Day 1: Arrival and Beach Bliss

After an invigorating 5-hour sail, we arrived at Mengalum Island in the late afternoon. Mawali crew expertly anchored the boat, and our guests wasted no time in hopping onto the Dinghy to venture onto the deserted beach. With only the small group and the crew, we reveled in the tranquility of the fine white sands, basking in the warm sun. Mocha, the adorable and adventurous sailing dog, joined us on our leisurely beach walk.

Evening Delights

Returning to the boat, our guests freshened up while the Mawali crew prepared a delectable barbecue dinner. As the sun painted the sky with fiery hues, we gathered on the deck, savoring the flavors of our meal, sipping wine, and immersing ourselves in the soothing ocean breeze. Disconnected from our phones, we engaged in meaningful conversations, creating lasting memories in the magical ambiance.

Night Under the Stars

After a delightful dinner, the Mawali crew assisted to set up cozy mattresses adorned with pillows and blankets at the front of the boat. The gentle lull of the waves accompanied us as we gazed up at the twinkling stars adorning the night sky. A peaceful and enchanting moment, it will be a night to remember.

Day 2: Underwater Exploration, Island Discoveries, and Mount Kinabalu's Splendor

With Mount Kinabalu revealing itself on the horizon at sunrise, our day on Mengalum Island began with a breathtaking sight. After a delicious breakfast, we eagerly plunged into the crystal-clear waters, at a depth of 5 meters. Continuing our adventure, we embarked on an exhilarating beach walk, stumbling upon a mysterious massive anchor. This unexpected discovery added an element of intrigue to our exploration.

Day 3: Paddle Boarding and Departure

Day three commenced with an invigorating paddle boarding session around the boat’s anchorage area. After a satisfying brunch, we bid farewell to Mengalum Island, setting sail back to the Sutera Jetty. Our hearts overflowed with gratitude for the treasured memories and experiences we shared throughout this enchanting journey.
